Six week old lion cubs sure make big kittens. Visit the Capron Park Zoo before the end of the month and get up to an hour with this furry friend.

What a gorgeous kitten…
Oh, how cute! But how do you EVER get that kitty away from Momma?!?!?
that kitty has actually been away from his momma because she couldn’t feed him (i forget the reason why)…yeah, i am one of the lucky ones who as able to meet and play with that kitty. he’s cuter in real life.
his dad is gorgeous too. the dad is one of about a dozen white lions in the US and was featured in people magazine. google “ramses people magazine” to check him out.
Cub encounter was absolutely something to have on your “bucket list”. It was amazing and probably won’t ever get a chance to do it again. Five family members took part and each of us thought he/she had more fun than all the others. Kudos to the Zoo for their educational and species survival programs. FYI: The river otters are a hoot in the snow and ice. More fun to watch than in the summer.
I was also able to go spend an hour with Taji and had a blast. He is completely adorable and just jumped around the room. It was like he was just a regular puppy. He had gotten a bit bigger by the end of January so we weren’t able to pick him up but he did climb into a couple people’s laps. I have seen a new article about him online and it mentioned his new name, Taji. When we were there, the zoo educator said that they will either name him and not announce it to the public or not name him at all since he does not belong to the zoo but his original owner back in Ohio I believe it was. They didn’t want the public getting too attached to him and then having to send him home or they didn’t want to get the staff too attached by naming him, but I have no idea how they couldn’t. Taji is adorable and very friendly. I am thinking that possibly Capron is getting to keep him there for a bit longer than expected perhaps and thats why they announced his new name.
One of the best experiences that I have EVER had!!
I really wish that I had had a chance to meet him!
