On March 19, five-year old Red River Hog Mvula, gave birth to her first litter of little hoglets at the Calgary Zoo. Mvula and her babies have had lots of quiet time to bond and she has proven to be an excellent mother.

I had never even heard of red river pigs before I found ZooBorns, and now they’re among my favorite animals. The colour and ears are just so beautiful.
