On Monday, The Hellabrunn Zoo
in Munich, Germany welcomed Jamuna Toni, a newborn elephant. The baby was born with a weight of 112 kilograms. That’s over 246 pounds! The press got a good glimpse of her yesterday and she’s clearly a playful “little” thing.

The third photo is a little disturbing.

Haha that third picture is quite funny…

One time on Jeff Corwin’s t.v. show, a baby elephant did roughly the same thing, only in the front. Jeff told him he had “issues!” 🙂

It’s all innocence as far as I can tell. It’s a baby elephant who is only having fun. The “disturbing” part is something you assign to it. To me, it looks playful.

Very cute~ May not want her sitting in your lap in a few months! They grow up quite fast.

To me, the third one looks a bit more like she’s reaching for his keys…
-
I find the 3rd picture innocent and funny. It does appear that she is using her trunk to find things like the keys. I understand that they are awkward/clumsy with their trunks at that age.

What a cutie. I love baby elephants.

Tom Flapwell….humans categorize things as “disturbing”….I really really think it is safe to say that the baby elephant isn’t thinking the things that your limited mind is thinking. She is just exploring the world around her. If your infant grabbed you “somewhere” would you really think that there is some sort of dirty thought or act there? NO! So, please don’t place your perverse thoughts on an innocent baby animal either.

Aaaawww…112 kilos of pure cuteness!

These are adorable! And while the third picture is totally innocent, I still say kudos to the employee for letting his butt get posted all over the internet. 🙂

This baby was rejected by its mother. It is being raised by its keepers and is bottle fed. Very sad.
