The Newest, Cutest Baby Animals from the World's Zoos & Aquariums
In May of 2009 we brought you the story of a baby gorilla named Hasani who had been abandoned by his mom but was adopted by a surrogate mother, Bawang, at the San Francisco Zoo. Today we check back in on mother and baby to find that they are doing very very well. In the first pictures, mother Bawang is tickling little Hasani.

Wow, these pictures make me wonder how anybody could deny that we’re related to the great apes. The mother and child in these photos look so happy, so loving, so very human.
Oh, my sweet Lord, that is cute. Why do I find baby animals SO much cuter than baby humans?! 🙂
Some photos make your heart skip a beat or few, your eyes to well up, and your ego to feel a little (well, a lot, in this case) humbled by the poignant beauty of what they’ve captured…
