The Newest, Cutest Baby Animals from the World's Zoos & Aquariums

Posted in ,

We’ve covered the great work done by the folks at the Aviarios Sloth Sanctuary in Costa Rica before but this new video of baby and adult sloths at their facility takes the cake.

Meet the sloths from Amphibian Avenger on Vimeo.

We think the Sanctuary’s Mission statement sums their work up best: To consolidate our Sanctuary as an agency that promotes and implements the protection and rehabilitation of sloths in Costa Rica, through the observation, study, care and analysis of animals in recovery; to promote actions that raise people’s awareness and to facilitate education in order to improve the welfare and quality of life of Costa Rica’s two species of sloth.

Thanks to reader Olivia Ross for the tip.

I had no idea slothlits were so adorable! Loved the scene of the two chewing on the same green bean from different ends.

    I love this video.
The two eating the same string bean from opposite ends knocks me out. The film made me read more about these amazing animals.
Thanks so much for sharing this.

OMG They remind me of Gremlins – the cute one like Gizmo. I love how the last sloth was just chilling. It looked like a person. The baby sloths were so cute!

most people have travel dreams of going to europe etc, I would love to go to costa rica and spend a year volunteer working with these relaxed itchy little guys lol.

I’ve been trying to volunteer with this wonderful group, but I’m not getting any responses to my emails. I would prefer to volunteer with a group where all the money goes directly to them and this rescue fits the bill. On their website they ask for people with certain skills to reply, I have all the skills listed and still have not heard anything. Even a “we don’t need volunteers right now’ wold suffice. I’ve heard great things about this place but am disappointed about a lack of response from them.
