In early December, we reported on Mozilla Firefox’s sponsorship of two baby Red Pandas from Knoxville Zoo. Long time ZooBorns contributors Life On White dropped in to Knoxville on January 4th and came away with some stunning images of the female cubs named Spark and Ember.

Wow, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen them standing before. Interesting…

Even with their formidable teeth, they look like snuggly little armfuls.

I wish the pads on their front paws showed up in a photo. I saw one has white fur on the pads of her front paws when I visited last month. They moved to fast to get a photo.

    Wonderful animals and beautiful photos,
    but…
I get really fed up with Life-on-White’s intrusive logos. If they don’t start toning that down a lot, I’d say their work isn’t worth publishing.

quixote – totally fair comment and we understand where you’re coming from. i do want to point out that the Life on White folks travel all over the world at enormous expense to take these photos, so they are much more concerned with people “borrowing” them for other purposes than a zoo would be. consequently, we’re happy to cut’m some slack 🙂

They actually have a video on youtube that shows the session. Lisa, that little guy that was standing actually was reacting to a water bottle that dropped and rolled towards it. When the handler showed it the water bottle again.. it pounced at it.

or just google it in video for red pandas knoxville – should be the first one there.
