On Tuesday, we shared San Diego Zoo's news that it welcomed a Royal Antelope calf. We saw that folks couldn't seem to get enough of this little one, so we've shared some additional images of the calf bottle-feeding and exploring the outdoors. UPDATE: Check out this great video just released by the SD Zoo!

I visited the zoo today and saw three of these little critters. Those limbs look even tinier up close.

Probably because it gets much bigger and harder to take care of.

The Royal Antelope are at the zoo tucked into an exhibit behind the tree kangaroos. The three I saw on Friday are full grown and smaller than teacup chihuahuas.

They only get to be about 10 lbs max. They stay teeny.

I know. I want one! But per Wikipedia and other online sources, these little guys need to graze on brush, are nocturnal, and are very shy, so they are def not the ideal housepet.
