Safari West in Santa Rosa, California is now home two two six-week-old Fennec Fox kits. Bella, is pictured above and last with Bev Baily, Animal Collections Manager for Safari West. Bill, Bella's brother, is seen having his breakfast in the second picture. Nocturnal hunters, fennec foxes detect tasty insects and small rodents with their ridiculously oversized ears.

Bella’s beauty just stole my soul. Now I want a fennec fox, and I know that’s wrong. Good luck, little ones.

Cuteness Happens!

Some places do let you keep fennecs as pets. I’ve even seen videos of them sharing a house peacefully with cats. But they are high maintenance, so you’d probably prefer an equally cute cat or dog.

Very cute! I want a fox now too. Some more cute animal pics I found at this site also

“Ridiculously oversized ears”, hmmmf! To them their ears are exactly the right size, and probably ours look ridiculously small! Don’t encourage people in their human-based prejudices!

Go to YouTube and check out Critter Camp Mom’s videos of in-house fennecs Zoey, Quiggley, and Wiley. She runs an exotic pet rescue. I think her vids of the fennecs give a pretty good picture of what life with pet fennecs is like. They can be noisy, bitey, and they like to mark their territory with pee and poop. They can also be quite affectionate and adorable too.
I agree with the previous commenter who said they are high-maintenance pets. They are expensive too. I think they cost a minimum of $1500 or so. -
Hahaha this is ridiculous! I can’t believe the cuteness of the third photo… It’s too much for me.
