Bath Time for Baby Sloths!

Wednesday mornings are baby sloth bath day at the Aviaros del Caribe-Sloth Sanctuary in Costa Rica. First they get shampooed, then get rubbed in an organic concoction to keep them parasite free, then they drip dry for a little before they are toweled off.  Afterwards, they get a colorful treat for being so good, and drift off into nap land. This video, from a recent documentary, includes an ad but was just too cute not to show.

    I have the whole program on the baby sloths on my DRV and refuse to erase it. Whenever I need to smile, I watch it. These ladies who run the sanctuary are amazing. Please send them even a small donation if you can.

    So much cuteness! This amazing lady has my dream job. To live in a paradise filled with such fantastic creatures, doing a job that you love = heaven.
    Does anyone know the name of the documentary? Last time I saw these little guys, the video said that the documentary was still in the making.

    Animal Planet rebroadcasts the Too Cute series periodically. I think they also sell copies of the show. Check their website.
