Fun facts: Milwaukee County Zoo penguin parents are Fiona & Oscar and the chick's sex is determined by blood sample between 1-3 months old.

Its exam from the veterinary team included:

🐧 listening to heart & lungs

🐧 making sure feathers & skin look healthy, beak is straight, and feet and legs/wings are normal

🐧 checking the umbilicus, to make sure it is closed

🐧 hydration status

You can catch a glimpse of the chick in the penguin habitat when parents are feeding but soon it will be cared for behind the scenes while its waterproof feathers come in.
