Hilvarenbeek, July 27, 2023 – Four healthy African lion cubs were born at Beekse Bergen Safari Park. The young animals were born during the night from Tuesday, July 11, to Wednesday, July 12. This is the first litter of lions in six years.

Buffalo, N.Y. – Say hello to Buffalo Zoo’s new FAB FOUR! On June 2nd and 3rd, the Buffalo Zoo’s African Lion Pride grew when they welcomed the birth of four active lion cubs. All cubs were born to their mother Lusaka and father, Tiberius.

On December 27th, Cindy gave birth to a perfect baby! This is her 6th child over the 20 years she has lived at the zoo, making her quite an experienced mother.
Copenhagen also has three little lion cubs! They came into the world on December 1st. Like most other cubs, they are very vulnerable in the first few weeks of their lives, so the family had total peace inside the barn.

Cubs born on January 9 at Pepper Family Wildlife Center
The African lion pride continues to grow at Lincoln Park Zoo’s Pepper Family Wildlife Center! The zoo has been on #LionWatch since African lion Zari’s (Zar-ee) pregnancy was announced last month, and, on January 9, the 4.5-year-old African lion gave birth once again, this time to three cubs.
The cubs have yet to be sexed or named. The cubs appear healthy and began nursing within their first hours, a critical milestone. In the next few days, they will be more mobile and begin to open their eyes. Over the next few weeks, the cubs will remain behind the scenes as they grow in size and strength and remain dependent on Zari.

Yesterday, our lion, Nestor, not only celebrated his tenth birthday, but also became a father for the second time!
His first litter is already independent and big enough now to begin a new chapter. And, as is the case in nature, the second litter follows the first very quickly!

Taronga Western Plains Zoo’s three female lion cubs have officially been dubbed with the purrfect names to take their pride of place in Dubbo. Amali, Mara and Imani are the new cubs on the block pawing their way into the hearts of guests visiting the Lion Pride Lands.
Lion Supervisor Justine Powell said the four-month-old cub trio were a delight to watch blossom, with their confidence and personalities becoming stronger with every passing day.

Zoo Knoxville is excited to announce the birth of an endangered African lion cub. The female cub, born on June 16, is the third offspring of father Upepo and mother Amara, and sibling to 6-month-old cubs Magi and Anga.
Amara is nursing and caring for the cub, who is healthy and thriving. However, Amara experienced complications with the delivery and is being closely monitored by her care team. After the birth of the female cub, Amara continued to show signs of labor but when she didn’t progress an ultrasound was performed, showing a stillborn cub lodged in the birth canal.

Cub takes first steps outside at Pepper Family Wildlife Center, Visible to the Public Beginning Today
CHICAGO (May 28, 2022) – Just in time for Memorial Day weekend, the African lion cub at Lincoln Park Zoo made his debut at Pepper Family Wildlife Center!
Pilipili (pee-lee-pee-lee), which means 'pepper' in Swahili, explored the outdoor habitat alongside mom Zari (Zar-ee), dad Jabari (jah-bar-ee), while "aunts" Cleo and Hasira remained behind-the-scenes.

Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo is brimming with pride to announce the birth of a trio of lion cubs on 7 April in a major breeding success for the species. This is the first litter of cubs born at the Zoo since 2016, and the first born to new breeding pair, Marion and Lwazi.
“The female cubs are very healthy and meeting all their milestones,” said Senior Keeper Melanie Friedman. “Marion is a beautifully attentive mother. It has been a privilege to watch and be part of her journey through to motherhood and now nurturing these three precious bundles of fluff.”
