Actually it is not the zoo, it is in the middle of the city. They keep bears there. I am not kidding.

This is where they are living http://www.baerenpark-bern.ch/ Dad lives in an enclosure next to them and all his trees look like the one mommy shortened…. I was actually worried she’d let go and have the cub fly off into the river Aare…

Mother bear’s “rescue” techniques could use some refinement…

    Wow. Good job mom.
Of course, as a mom of twins myself, I think she’s lucky that her other cub wasnt climbing the next tree while she was helping this one down….

How cute that the other little cub was trying to help Mama pull the tree down 🙂

That looks like less of a rescue and more of a “I told you to get out of that tree a dozen times already. I will tear this thing to the ground so-help-me-God.”

Yeah, there’s a definite “tough-love” aspect there — I think at the beginning, she’s trying to shake the cub out of the tree!

    There’s a reason for the expression “bear-mother”.

I think the video is hilarious! Wonder if the baby has stopped running yet! I have been telling everybody on Facebook to watch. I laugh each time I watch the video or even think about it.

Jay Leno actually played this video on his Tonight Show a few weeks ago.

It still makes me laugh. I still post the information on facebook with the website. Hope you keep it available for years to come. I tell all the people I talk to at the San Diego Zoo’s Wild Animal Park and give them the website. Again, thanks a lot.
