Born January 12th at Germany's Wuppertal Zoo, Anori made her public debut this weekend, curiously exploring her way through her new exhibit. Mother Polar Bear, Vilma, has been a model parent to young Anori and happily the two have remained together. ZooBorns will bring you more pictures as they become available.

Very cute – but I’d say the photos show little Anori with Mom Vilma from Wuppertal? 😉

Thank you for changing the text from Hudson to Anori – but I have to complain again ;)) – Vilma, Anori’s mother, was not the mother of Knut. Anori and Knut only have the same father. Knut’s mother is former circus bear Tosca, she still lives in Berlin Zoo.

Wow, you are quick on the draw! Thanks for alerting us to these errors. Our wires got crossed between two different stories.
Do you happen to have any additional info on this young bear? We would love to provide more detail for our readers.

You are very welcome ; ) – I just love Polar Bears… : ) And I love your site! Not only for the bears but also for Zoo borns that are rarely to see elsewhere like Aardvarks and Aye-Ayes!
More info.. Anori is Inuit language and means “wind”. Her father’s name is Lars (he was also Knut’s father).
By the way, a very good source for information of about Polar Bears young and old in Zoos is this fan-site here:

She is adorable! Let’s hope she grows up to have babies of her own.
